My mother chosed to celebrate her 70th B-day in late June, with children and grand-children in sunny Spain for a week. We were a group of 12, consisting of 3 children 1½, 5 and 8 years old, two teenagers and 7 adults. The layout of this big house worked well for us, as we were esentially 3 separate couples/families + 1 single. Should be noted that there is no indoor connection in the house between the floors. Worked favorable for us who were travelling with small children but could be a nuisance for someone else. (tip: Contact Interhome for details of floorplans to see if it fits your needs). Clearly the summerhome of a private person with comfortable living-standard, as it was well equipped and had all necessary kitchen utensils etc to create lavish dinners for a big group of people. Fabulous view. The adverised private access to beach was an exaggeration: no key to gate to beach access provided... The beach found just next to the house was anyway not very tempting, so not a major set-back. Car is needed to go to the beaches near-by at least if you have smaller children or elderly, as there are very steep hills. We found the sand beaches in Calpe the nicest and they are merely a 10 minute drive. The house being 400 m2 obvioulsy provided ample space for us and we could all move around freely without "clinging to eachother" all week. The nice kitchen and generous back-kitchen with additional fridge/freezer + washer/dryer made life comfortable and we had wonderful joint cooking sessions for dinner enjoying most of the dinners all together at the house, on the patio. Out-door there were a nice bar-area and a big open fire BBQ. All-in-all we had a week of our dreams for our family of 12. We would love to return another time.
